A Fire Protection Tip for Food & Beverage Grease Filters for Exhaust Ducts

Date: 2/1/2009

Commercial kitchens that use fryers and other grease-producing devices must have a means of ventilating the flammable vapors to the outdoors. The exhaust ducts must have filters to trap the larger particulate before it accumulates in the duct.

We are providing Coffee Break Training, "Grease Filters for Exhaust Ducts," which describes the requirements for grease filtering devices. This is available as a service through the U.S. Fire Administration, FEMA.

Always refer to nationally recognized design and installation standards, the product manufacturer or listing details for specific information.
