| recently came across a May, 2005 Traffic Safety Facts Research Note: 12 & 15 Passenger Vans Tire Pressure Study: Preliminary Results.
"All too often tire inflation is haphazardly applied by various drivers without any formal protocol for servicing the van. A review and implementation of this study should provide greater safety, improved motor vehicle handling, improved fuel efficiency, improved tire life, and better control against roll-overs, longer stopping distances and the problem of hydroplaning."
