UNIQUE PROGRAM TO SUPPORT ON-THE-JOB-SAFETY

Date: 5/1/2009

While it is not the practice of the "Newsletter" to promote products, we continue to share data on unique products for your consideration.

SafetyWorld and Fox Studios created the Simpsons Safety Meeting Quiz Cards with matching Simpsons Safety Posters & Table Tents to raise safety awareness. No other safety program has both TV, a Movie and now US Postal Stamps to reinforce your training. The materials come in English or in Spanish.

The US is issuing Simpsons Postal Stamps to honor the TV series and these graphics will help us to keep safety "top of mind." We have documentation that this system helps to reduce the frequency of injury and it focuses on safe behavior by addressing "short cuts" that cause carelessness.

Our clients hand out the enclosed Safety Meeting Cards. After a 5 minute discussion, they scratch off the correct answers from the Safety Quiz and raffle off lunch or the Simpson Posters which are all first edition artwork. The materials use a combination of serious OSHA awareness content with a little humor to capture employee attention.

Here is a quick program description:

1. Simpson Safety Quiz Cards are reviewed in your monthly meetings. The front of the Card focuses on job safety and the back of the Card ties in home safety. The inside of the Card talks about ways to avoid injury. It comes with a Scratch Off Quiz for documentation and to use as a lottery card.

2 Simpsons Safety Posters are for employee entrances, bulletin boards and high traffic areas. Many companies raffle off the Posters because it's first edition artwork and employees take them home. Safety is now 24/7.

3. The Simpson Table Tent is a smaller wall Poster with the Simpsons in the center and strategies to avoid injury on either side and again reinforce the Quiz Cards & Posters. Table Tents advertise safe behavior to insure the topic is remembered all month long. They sit in the break areas or on cafeteria tables.

4. The Safety Meeting Outline is a script to help run your meeting easily! It offers suggestions to motivate associates to remember their topic and feedback strategies when associates do no follow the rules.

The goal is to help the supervisor become a safety champion and give them the tools to do a quick, effective safety meeting. SafetyWorld has both humorous and serious graphics and you can see this at www.safetyworld.com.

Safety committees are always looking for new ways to present the same safety topics and for questions on the program, you can call Brian Krause at 215-635-6807 or at bkrause@comcast.net.
